My Attempt at Collaging-Another Christmas gift

I have been inspired by so many. The beautiful collages and journals that embrace color, images, drawing, painting and design on the many blogs that I love to visit, well I'm impressed. Soooo, I decided to make my own collage (it's been since grade school that I used scissors and magazines to create art), and I had a great time creating this piece for a beautiful young lady for her Christmas prezzy!

I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it. Today I will create one more for another lovely young lady-another Christmas gift.

Yippee!!! I'm off to begin my day of creating. Joy of joys-I love to make art!

Wow!!! Leslie you are so clever. That is just wonderful I love the combination of sea and the land with the dragon fly. Sometimes I stare at my scrap books and think of something different to create. You daughter will love it! I know my girls would. Have a lovely time creating. I'll start a new painting tonight. Not sure what yet but thanks so much for your encouraging comments,

Blessings and love
Liz

Your collage has a beautiful sense of colour. Isn't it fun getting out the scissors and glue? For so many years I also didn't cut and glue. How did we ever give up such fun?

hi leslie ... nice blog & i love the mixed media pieces :) ...

you can participate in the genographic program by visiting their website and purchasing a testing kit ... you send it back to them, they send you the results and so on ... and your information helps them to continue learning about it all ...

it's about $100 ... i'm going to get it for my mother for christmas ... it seems like a really unique gift and the results apply to all the people in the family who are an ancestor or descendant of the person tested ...

oh, and stop back by whenever you get a chance :) ... xoxo
